Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
In early March I had the flu which gave me the symptom of dizziness, but w/o vomiting or diarrhea (except for one time). I fainted and hit my head on a log wall in our house. Since then, I have had occasional bouts of dizziness and an upset stomach. What could be causing this?
Considering the fact that you have fainted in March, and the occasional bouts of dizziness in my opinion you should perform a blood count analysis, because an iron deficiency anemia might be causing these symptoms. This anemia is a very common condition, and it's cured by taking iron supplements.
You should also consult a gastrohepatologist, for a physical examination and to perform a gastric endoscopy, to exclude a gastroduodenal ulcer, because this might also be a cause of iron deficiency anemia and needs to be treated properly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Suela Gjata,
